Sauco (Sambucus peruviana)

This tree, about 10 meters high, is present throughout Peru, at altitudes between 2000 and 3500 meters. With its delicious fruits, it is possible to make jam, syrup and even liqueurs. Wood is used to make the Andean flute: the Quena.
